Want to help Forty Corners Animal Rescue save lives?
Foster a dog or cat and save a life! One of the best ways you can help us is by fostering a dog or cat. For each new foster home that opens up, we are able to save the life of another shelter dog or cat that would most likely end up on death row or in a very sad situation.
Opening your heart and home to an animal in need can bring you so much joy and also the satisfaction that comes from knowing you've made a difference in an animal's life.
Simply put, fostering saves lives! You provide the love and attention; and depending on your circumstances, we can provide everything else (food, treats, a bed, and any veterinary care the dog/cat may need).
Interested? Some things to consider:
* You must be able to commit to fostering for a minimum of three weeks at a time.
* You must communicate with us regularly to give us updates on the animals in your care.
* We ask that you have at least some experience with dogs, but you don’t need to have dogs of your own.
* We ask to be able to do a house site visit at your home to ensure your home is suitable and safe for the animal in your care.
* Most of the dogs we rescue are between 50 and 90 pounds, so you must be comfortable with large dogs. But we do rescue puppies from time to time!
* We ask that you’re away from home no more than 5 hrs/day.
